She was predeceased by: her husband John J. Valdez; her daughter Rita Sanchez; her grandchildren, Ramon Valdez, Anthony "Tony" Barela, Jesus Apodaca, John "Buji" Valdez III and Karen Hicks; her great grandchild Amiliano "Peewee" Apodaca; and her parents, Amarante Quintana and Fabiana Quintana.
She is survived by: her children, Louisa Fuqua, Andrea Martinez, John Valdez, Julie Lucero, Diana Endress, Dora Apodaca (Donald) and Irene Montoya (Pete); and her siblings, Manuel Quintana, Margie Martinez and Monica Vocolo. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren.
