He is survived by: his wife Alice Jean Burkhardt; his children, Melissa Burkhardt, Shields, Forrest Shields of Colorado Springs, Todd and Jen Burkhardt of Centennial, Colorado; his pets, Sadie, Bella, Ryder and Daly; his brother-in-law David Thrasher (Barb Thrasher) of Lamar, Missouri; and his niece Tai Thrasher McCoy (Brandon McCoy) of Ozark, Missouri.. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends who were touched by his kindness.
