She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Gilbreth and Golda Iona Gilbreth; her husband Mel; her siblings, Mae Dell, Lela Opal, Virginia, Jeannine, Phyllis and Barney Elwood; her granddaughter Dawn Pendarvis; and her stepdaughters, Shelly Johnson and Denise Daniels.
She is survived by: her son Douglas Toney; her stepdaughter Teri Williams; her granddaughter Christina Peteet; and her great grandchildren, Savannah, Ella, Burton, George and Archer.
