It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Jack Hawkins (Rockvale, Colorado), born in Las Animas, Colorado, who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Hawkins and Alice Joanne Hawkins; his son Billy Hawkins Jr.; his nephew James; and his niece Jessica.
He is survived by : his wife Donnita; his children, Julian Hawkins of Pueblo, Sam Franklin (Kristin) of Swink, Crystal Franklin of Penrose, Preston Franklin (Brianna) of La Junta and Misty Smith of Canon City; and his siblings, Joe Bob Hawkins (Cecilia), Monte Hawkins, Cash Hawkins, Vicky Denton (Bobby), Luanne Netik (Johnny), Neva Dawn Tucker and Patty Hawkins. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.
