As Gilbert departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Gilbert. Though Gilbert may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rodriguez and Petra Piaz; and his daughter Cathy Dearcos. He is survived by: his brothers, Johnny Rodriguez (Margarita) and Pete Rodriguez (Lupe); his sons, Ron Rodriguez, Ken Rodriguez (Sally), Robert Rodriguez (Lorraine) and Larry Dearcos; and his friend Virginia Rodriguez. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (1209 Swink Ave, Rocky Ford, CO 81067). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
