She was predeceased by: her brother Dennis Harper. She is survived by: her children, Ben Poynter of Howard and Molly Poynter of Rocky Ford; her husband Michael Poynter; her granddaughter Jayden; her brother Randy Harper (Joanne Eakin) of Albuquerque; her sisters-in-law, Mary Anne Wilkinson and Sharry Harper; and her nieces and nephews, Leah (Dave), Kate Harper (Joe), Lori Sokol (Randy), Adrienne Wilkenson, Tamila Wright (Erick), Keith Harper (Penny) and Adam Wilkenson.
She made significant contributions to the field of archeology, where her dedication to uncovering the past was matched only by her enthusiasm for sharing her discoveries with others.
