With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffrey Stephens (Salida, Colorado), born in La Junta, Colorado, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 11, 2026 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Jeffrey shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jeffrey farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his mother Cleo Stephens (Jeanette Stephens); his children, Amber Lee (Tyra Snider), Brian Stephens (Heath Warner) and Alexia Stephens; his grandchildren, Gregory Phelps, Godric Lee and Kenidi Snider; his brother Jim Tafoya (Donna); his stepsiblings, Macheal Pierce and Leslie Hines; Mike Glenn.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Salida Elks Lodge 148 (148 E St, Salida, CO 81201).
