She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Chavez and Alice Chavez (Jacques); her husband Alfred A. Atencio; and her brothers, Raymond Chavez, Paul Chavez and Tom Chavez.

She is survived by : her sons, Alfred Atencio (Nancy), Ken Atencio (Tonya) and Amos Atencio; her grandchildren, Emily, Alicia, Amanda and Ashley; her great grandchildren, Landon, Izayah and Marissa; and her siblings, Mercy Olivas (Lee), Grace Espinosa (Albert), Adelia Jiron, Becky Padley (Ron), Lenore Chavez, Diane Gallegos (Jimmy), Abel Chavez (Sara) and Reynold Chavez. She is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
