Mariah Sheffield wrote a sympathy message

“Baker was my 10th grade English teacher and she was amazing. She had such an amazing zing energy and could command your attention respect and admiration by the way she held herself and maintained her boundaries. She was so impressive in her interactions with students. Anytime she was asked a question she answered it in a way that would best help the student achieve her goals rather than simply doing a task. She listened and cared, we loved her!”
