We are sad to announce that on February 24, 2023, at the age of 74, Carol Louise Ellis of Springfield, Colorado, born in Las Animas, Colorado passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Hobert Watkins and Janice Watkins (Mackert); her brother Gary Watkins; her children, Cindy Sweeney (Ellis) and James Sweeney; her grandson Nicholas Jasa; her nephews, Carl Watkins and Wesley Watkins; her husband Kenneth Hines; and also Jim Sweeney.

She is survived by : her former life partners, Jim Sweeney and Kent Ellis; her children, Don Colter, Rusty Grimes, Melissa Marshall (Ellis), Candy Mason (David), Samantha Mason (Robert) and Pat Ellis; her close friend Donna Kitzmiller; her siblings, Sue Piper (Ron), Evelyn Denton, Molly Lohse (Jeff), Connie White (Bob), Bobby Watkins (Connie), David Watkins (Karen), Debbie Alcorn and Sharron Birt (Richard); and her grandchildren, James Sweeney, Katrina Bateman, Brittany Hines, Ashlynn Mason, Zac Nelson, Hailey Mason and Robert Mason. She is also survived by grandchildren, 22 Great grandchildren, 26 Nieces and Nephews, 45 Great Nieces and Nephews, and 15 Great-Great Nieces and Nephews.
