She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Broce and Loretta Broce; her husband Dale Huffman; her parents-in-law, Virgil Huffman and Dorothy Adams; her brothers, Gene, Bob, Jerry "Toady", Roy and Elmer Broce; and her great grandchild Emma Hicks.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Huffman (Sonja) and Sheryl Hoeffner (Waylon); her granddaughters, MaKayla Huffman (Kyslie), Keshian Holcomb (Eric) and Kidryn Hicks (Kamryn); her sister Margie Woods; and her sister-in-law Francis Broce.
After working as a cook, Irene became a CNA at Southeast Colorado Hospital in the Alzheimer's unit.
