He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Forward and Melissa Forward (Wheeler); and his brother Gregory "Bumper" Forward. He is survived by: his wife Debbie (Varner); his children, Jacklyn Forward and Jordan Beeler (Jenna); his brothers, Johnny Forward, Wade Forward (Stephanie), Baker Settlement, Rodney Forward (Christine) and Oakhill; his grandchildren, Ashton, Daisy and Traci; and his siblings' children, Sabrina, Jordan and Ryan.

Donations in Paul's memory may be made to The Command Benevolent Fund in support of Nova Scotia's Veterans.
