It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claudia Hilzer in Sterling, Colorado, who passed away on May 17, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Merald Nissen and Juanita Nissen. She is survived by : her former life partner Rodney Lee Hilzer; her children, P. J. Hilzer (Stacey) of Centennial, CO, Heidi Hilzer (Sean Drabant) of Centennial and Summer Wilson (Bryan Martinez) of Lamar, CO.; her grandchildren, Nick Wilson of Lamar, CO, Haley Wilson (Cohen Walker) of Loveland, CO, Kelsea Wilson of Loveland, Logan Hilzer of Washington, D. C. and Malcolm Drabant of Centennial, CO.; her half-brother Bryan Nissen (Lori) of Elko, NV; her pet Tigger Toes; her aunts, Patty Wolfe of Sterling, CO, Nina Uran of Stanley, ND, Betty Johnson of Kenmare, ND and Marilyn Nissen of Moorehead, ND.; her cousins, Joyce Kessinger of Akron, Donna Graber of Lakewood, Shirley Unrein of Sterling, Jim Buckmaster of Sterling, Cindy Benson of Sterling and Cheri Williams of Sterling; and her friends, Bob, Connie Green, Rick Wilson and Louise Souders.
