He was predeceased by : his parents, Alex Schott and Mary Schott (Lebsock); his brother Elmer (Miriam); his son Brian; and his wife Edna Irene Miller.

He is survived by : his brothers, Leonard (Helen) of Sterling, Kenny (Mary) of Alliance, Nebraska and Don (Sally); his daughter Raenell Coughlin (Kelly) of Greeley; his grandchildren, Kory Chrisman of Fort Collins and Kylie Bergmann (Erik); and his great grandchild Callan.
