We are sad to announce that on March 31, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Catherine Pierce Smith in Thornton, Colorado, born in Fulton, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Irving Pierce and Joan Pierce; her sisters, Ellen Hamilton Pierce and Jane Irving Pierce Small; and her friend Bert Wilhite.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine Spainhour (Richard) and Joseph Reece Smith III; her grandchildren, Deirdre, Rhiannon, Áine, Mike Smith Rivera and Christian Smith; her sibling's children, Susan Small Dwyer (Robert), Christy Smith Pittman (Mark) and Dr. Brian Smith (Caroline); her friend Betsy Adams (George); and also, Mark Wilhite (Robin), Jeff Wilhite (Dawn) and Cathy.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations go to support the children's ministries at Grace Episcopal School in Georgetown, Texas (https://graceschool1992.org) and Yesterday's Gone, a Liberty Hill nonprofit that provides housing and support to women who have been abused, their dependent children, and pets.
