With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Esther Vigil of Thornton, Colorado, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Esther left this world on October 16, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. Though Esther may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Esther touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Pacheco and Irene Pacheco; her husband Zeke; and her son Fred. She is survived by: her daughter Debbie Bonitz (Paul Bonitz); her grandchildren, Kris Bonitz of North Carolina and Freddi Slough (Matt); and her pets, Ellie, Freddy and Maxi.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Mount Olivet Funeral Home (12801 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033). A procession will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Fort Logan National Cemetery (4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ft. Logan National Cemetery (4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236). A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mount Olivet Funeral Home (12801 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033).
