He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Carter Norman and Dorothy Jean Norman; and his siblings, Lois Jean Leech (Norman), James Norman and Thomas Norman.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Kay Norman (Olson); his children, Richard Allen Norman (Lori), Teresa Lynn Thompson (Robert) and Jeffrey Edward Norman (Sonya); and his grandchildren, Rachel Norman, Justin Thompson (Colleen), Jordan Thompson (Amelia), Ryan Norman, Kaylie Norman and Sophia Norman.
