We announce the death of Marlys Elaine (Geerdes) Wilsey of Thornton, Colorado, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her mother Fern Arlene Geerdes (Bush); her father-in-law William P. Wilsey; and her brothers-in-law, Bill Lindgren and Carl Shelton. She is survived by: her father Arthur Donald Geerdes; her husband Richard "Dick" Wilsey; her children, Jeff Wilsey (Kathy) of Sioux Falls, SD, James Wilsey (Joyce) of Salem, VA and Michele Klomp (Duane) of Thornton, CO; her grandchildren, CJ Wilsey (Jenny) of Sioux Falls, SD, Cody Wilsey of Sioux Falls, SD, Jordan LaPorte of Romney, WV, Ryan Iwanski (Leah) of Thornton, CO and Braden Klomp of Thornton, CO; her great grandchildren, Cash, Charlie, Winnie Wilsey, Kynlee, Soren Wilsey, Jack, Jane, Henry LaPorte and Ronin Iwanski; her siblings, Ruth Lindgren of Algona, IA and Daryle Geerdes (Donna) of Concord, CA; and her sister-in-law Carol Shelton of Cedar Falls, IA. She is also survived by the mother of her three beloved children.
