He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Rosales and Russell Rosales; his granddaughter Melissa Anne Stringer; and his siblings, Helen Morrison, Carmen Nagy, Julia Templeton, Russell Rosales Jr. and Theresa Merritt.
He is survived by: his wife Veronica Vialpando Rosales; his brother John Rosales (Carolyn); his children, Patti Rosales Stringer, Daniel Rosales and Steven Rosales; and his stepchildren, Johnathon Vialpando, Darin Vialpando (Jami), Dennis Vialpando (Andrea), Devin Vialpando (Caitlyn) and Debbie Willis. He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, along with his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Horan & McConaty Funeral Service and Cremation - North Metro/Thornton (9998 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229). A rosary will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (9371 Wigham St, Thornton, CO 80229). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
