He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Nelson and Bonnie Hood; his siblings, Rich Nelson, Tommy Nelson, Nora Nelson, Barbara Nelson, Penny Hewitt and Karla Adamson; his close friend Leonard; his sons-in-law, Kenny Minjarez and Seth Baskall; his children, Amber De Los Santos, Robert Ater and Kyle Nelson; and his grandchildren, Kegan Mackney, Brooklyn Heath, Baylee Nelson, Aaliaha Cowin, Blayd Nelson, Jorge De Los Santos, Ryhder Valdez, Ben Valdez, Nova Baskall, Ricky Baskall and Dante Nelson. He was also cherished by his parents' farm, helping his father and siblings take care of the farm and animals.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services (15057 E Colfax Ave, Aurora, CO 80011). A wake will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
