He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Kester Counts and Lakie Cook; his brother Kester; and his stepdaughter Shawna McGee. He is survived by: his wife Joette Petrich; his daughter Vicki Ann McLean-Baird; his stepdaughter Colette McGee Merritt (Tom) of Livingston, MT; and his siblings, Joyce Counts-Cavett of Billings, MT and Danny Counts of Miles City, MT. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Colette Merritt's Home (35 Kindsfather Dr, Livingston, MT 59047).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to any Veterans association of your choice, honoring his dedicated military service.
