He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Kahre and Ethel Kahre; and his siblings, Alfred Kahre, Loraine Plummer and Muriel McNutt.
He is survived by: his wife Elsie Schendel; his children, Duane (Valerie), Dale, Geralyn (Bob) and Genice (Derick); and his brothers, Dwight Kahre and Dennis Kahre. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Awakening Church (3445 Oro Blanco Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80917). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the African Wesleyan University College in his name.
