It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Raymond Faris (Walsenburg, Colorado), who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Jonah Jennings Frasier, Susan Chandler Frasier, Asperidon Faris and Hafisa Saliba Faris; his parents, Joe Faris and Mary Alice Faris; his sisters, Joy Faris and Jann Vail; and his son Bert Faris.
He is survived by: his children, Sabra Vigil (Doug) of Pueblo, Raymond Joe Faris (Sherri) of Walsenburg, Tara Dotter (Chris) of Walsenburg, Julie Faris and Chris Chavez of Pueblo; his daughter-in-law Summer Faris of Walsenburg; his sister Gay Farmer (Dave) of Denver; his brother-in-law Tom Vail of Walsenburg; and his siblings, Edna (Randy Dust) of Denver, Andy and Nick Faris of Walsenburg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Huerfano Community Bible Church (603 S Leon Ave, Walsenburg, CO 81089).
