He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernesto Ruiz and Viola Ruiz; his siblings, Consuelo Flora, Antonio, Richard, Joe, Ernest Jr., Gregerio and Estanislado Ruiz; his siblings' children, Shawn Ruiz, Robert Nicholas Dixon, Martin Dixon and Olivia Lulf; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Dixon and Joe Lundock.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherri Casias; his grandchildren, Dominic, Niya and Mariya of West Virginia; and his siblings, Beatrice Ruiz Dixon of Weldona, Mariana Ruiz Lundock of Weldona, Maria Chavez (Claudio) of Omaha, NE, Jessie Ruiz of Wiggins and Jose Martin of Weldona. He is also survived by 4 nieces, 5 nephews, 2 great nieces, and 8 great nephews.
