He is survived by : his wife Cecilia Eckhardt; his children, Susan Halbach (Pat), Cheryl Thompson (Mike) and John Eckhardt; his grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah Thompson, Katie, Emily and Lindsay Halbach; and his great grandchildren, Madoc and Charlotte McConnell.
