He was predeceased by: his former wife Jacqueline Black (Douglas); his wife Janet Black (Kuntz); his parents, Luther Black and Sue Black; and his brother Robert Black.
He is survived by: his brother Luther W. Black Jr.; his children, Russell (Naomi), Randy (Sue), Cheryl and Diane; and his stepchildren, Lance (Anita), Bill, Alvin and Channa (Colby). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
