She was predeceased by: her father Joseph W. Looney; and her siblings, Joseph P. Looney and Mary L. Wilson. She is survived by: her husband Nick Barr; her sister Alma L. Dowless (Nick); her children, Tammy (Greg) and Chris (Hillary); her grandchildren, Grayson, Mason and Emilie; and her pet Jeanny.

Jeanette and Nick loved to travel, and following Nick's retirement, purchased an RV in which they planned to visit every state, much as they did on their honeymoon, before COVID-19 caused those ambitions to be delayed.
