Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Patrick Mercado (Westminster, Colorado), who passed away at the age of 53, on January 17, 2022. He is survived by: his parents, Nestor J. Mercado and Elnora M. Mercado; his siblings, Joy (Bob Regelin), Mary Rose (Ken McCourt) and Nestor Jr. (Anita Mercado); and his siblings' children, Zachary Gonzales, Lauren Gonzales, Briana Psichenko, Chris Regelin, Stephanie McCourt, Paul McCourt, Mia Sanchez, Molly Sitterding and Hannah Mercado.

The Mercado family's wishes are to invite those who have been recently exposed to COVID (or any infectious disease) or have symptoms to instead attend the live streaming of Patrick's mass via YouTube on the day of the funeral, January 21st, 10am.

I'm a writer and sometimes when it comes back again to me that Patrick is gone, I have no words, or I have too many.... He's inspiring transcendent of time and I hope he'll make it known he still prays with and for us. Missing him always. What an amazing example of faith and holiness. I looked forward to seeing him still at Mass when we're 90. That's how it should have been.”
