He was predeceased by: his siblings, John Longua, Elaine Longua and Nancy Henkel. He is survived by: his wife Ann Longua; his children, John of Schwenksville, PA, Paul of Arvada, CO, Tom of Plano, TX and Joan Philbin of Front Royal, Virginia; and his brother Lawrence of Rockville Centre, NY.

On 13 November, 2021, Thomas J. Longua died peacefully in his sleep from complications of coronary heart disease and Parkinson.
