With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Lee Spykstra (Wheat Ridge, Colorado), born in Palmer, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 13, 2026 at the age of 94. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Barbara may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was loved and cherished by many people including her half-sister and family, four children, nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
