Jerome Assman Obituary
Jerome "Jerry" Assman passed away October 25th 2021 in Wheatridge CO.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Ollie. His daughter and son-in-law Cherrie and Dave Hirsch. His grandson Justin/Kristen Hirsch, granddaughter Erika/Brandon Valdez, great grandchildren Hailey, Mason and Kali, his sister Carole/Denny Schaben, his many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ferdinand and Cecilia, his son Randy, brothers Lee, Nub, Puppy, Tony, Joe and sister Marie.
Jerry was born in Earling Iowa where he lived with his parents, brothers and sister. This is where he met the love of his life Ollie. Jerry and Ollie were married in Earling Iowa at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in 1954.
Jerry served in the US Army; he was stationed at Fort Carson Army base in Colorado Springs, CO. After his discharge he and Ollie settled in the Denver area where they shared the next 60 plus years of their lives.
Jerry worked for Meadow Gold Dairy for nearly 40 years. After retirement Jerry and Ollie loved to travel. They made several trips abroad, took countless cruises and they traveled within the United States. Of all the trips they made their favorite was their visit to the Holy Lands. Jerry and Ollie truly enjoyed each other's company.
Jerry was a kind and loving man. His love of family and his faith in God were the cornerstones of his life. He was an active parishioner at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church, he was also a member of the Serra Club.
Jerry will be missed by all who knew him. Especially by his beloved wife Ollie. His life was a life well lived! May he rest in peace.
