He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde D. Newton and Bernice R. St. Clair; his wife Betty LaVonne Ralston; his brother Jerry Newton; and his son Kevin Newton.
He is survived by: his children, Garry Newton, Darla Newton and Marcia Maledy (Mike Maledy); and his close friend Carol Bryson. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family; other loved ones and friends.
