He was predeceased by: his parents, Werner Hoops and Alma Hoops; and his brothers, Harold and Harvey Hoops. He is survived by: his wife Lois Wenske of Edgar; his sister Marilyn Kettlehut; his children, Tim Hoops (Denver) and Cindy Boatright (Arvada); his grandchildren, Heather Hoops, Heidi Hoops Eng (Golden), Hilary Hoops, Nick Boatright (Arvada) and Chris Boatright (Arvada); and his great grandchildren, Brooks, Brynn and Hazel.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested a donation to Lutheran World Relief (http://lwr.org) or a charity close to your heart.
