Jimmie Wilks Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jimmie Wilks of Wiley, Colorado, born in Columbus, Kansas, who passed away on February 3, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Jimmie shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jimmie farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Gordon and Betty Lou Wilks (Gray); his daughter Lugina Williamson; and his brother John Walker. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Wilks; his daughter Chauna Powell of Indianapolis, IN; and his stepchildren, Jeff Wells (Debbie) of Wiley, CO, Gari Wells (Ronnie Hoefler) of Hugo, CO and Chad Wells of Syracuse, KS. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
