We are sad to announce that, on April 10, 2026, Laura Whalen of Windsor, Colorado, born in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Laura farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Laura is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She is survived by: her husband Shaun M. Whalen; her children, Zoey M. Craig and Grayson C. Whalen; her parents, Ranie Eckman (Gail) and Christopher Eckman of Torrington; and her brother Brian Eckman of Tonawanda. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to your favorite National Park, Animal Rescue or Sanctuary, or plant a tree in Laura's memory.
