He was predeceased by: his parents, Ashbel Hough and Lorna Hough; his brothers, Walter and Stephen; and his son-in-law Michael.
He is survived by: his spouse Valencia; his brother Thomas (Gail); his children, Ann, Ellen and Richard; and his grandchildren, Justin (Alixandra), Joshua (Sarah), Jodie (Strong), Jacqueline, Samantha and Lucy.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Alban's Episcopal Church (311 6th St, Windsor, CO 80550).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to any of the following charities, which were dear to Richard's heart: World Wildlife Fund, Orphan Grain Train, NOVO, International Crane Foundation.
