He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip H. Lass and Dorothy Lass (Alsen); and his daughter Kristin Lass. He is survived by: his wife Jane S. North; his siblings, Susan Vitale (Mike) and Steve Lass (Pam); his son Erik Lass (Jessica); his granddaughter Matalyn Lass (Jacob Koch)); and his great grandchild Tucker. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
