Jean Whittington Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on March 9, 2026, at the age of 92, Jean Whittington (Yuma, Colorado) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Churchill and Edith Churchill (Morris); her husband Darrell Whittington; her brother Rev. Morris; her siblings-in-law, Kathryn Churchill and Jack Gamble; her grandson Dustin Dale Whittington; and her nephews, Jeff Abrams and John Churchill.

She is survived by: her children, Lynda Whittington of Winston-Salem, NC, Susie Gebauer (Mitch) of Arvada, CO and Dale Whittington (Maureen) of Fleming, CO; her grandchildren, Derek Whittington (Sarah) of Fleming, Drew Whittington (Carissa) of Fleming and Lauren Minor (Andrew) of Fleming; her great grandchildren, Lucille, Jolee and Blue Whittington of Fleming; and her sister Virginia Gamble of Aloha, OR. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be made in Jean's memory to Yuma Methodist Church or Fleming Community Library.
