It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sean Matthew McCracken of Amston, Connecticut, who passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Sean farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert McCracken and Ruth McCracken (Stern); his wife Sarah of Amston; his children, Sean McCracken II (Nicole) of Willimantic, Horace Hatten-McCracken of Plattsburgh, NY and Candice Deguzis (Jason) of Amston; his grandchildren, Caroline and Ryan Deguzis; and his brother Michael McCracken of Farmington Hills, MI. He was also cherished by three children—a son and daughter, and later an adopted son.
