He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Fernandes and Isaura Fernandes (Correia); and his brothers, Antonio and Joaquim Fernandes. He is survived by: his wife Aida Fernandes (Cardoso); his daughter Jacqueline Fernandes of Seymour; his granddaughters, Myah LaRovera of Seymour and Jacey Sullivan of Seymour; and his brother Abilio Fernandes (Candida) of New Bedford, MA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
