He was predeceased by: his parents, George Geffert and Mary Hentosh Geffert; and his sister Virginia Barnes. He is survived by: his wife June Larson Geffert; his children, Gary A. Geffert (Michele) of Southbury, John J. Hunt (Michele) of Sandy Hook, Kimberly Pinchuk (Todd) of Naugatuck, Kari Davis (Wayne) of Jacksonville, FL and Lorri Shortell (Michael) of Ansonia; his siblings, Ronald Geffert (Donna), Charles Geffert (Carol) of Seymour, Thomas Geffert (Jeanette), David Geffert (Roseann) of Arizona, Jeffrey Geffert of Bridgeport and Donnale Worby of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Scott (Craig Pinchuk), Tori Huebenthal, Matthew (Zachary Geffert), Darrin Davis, Jordan, Jessica, Jailyn (Jackson Hunt) and Michael (Malori Shortell); and his great grandchildren, Aria, Decklan, Noah, Logan and Tyler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
