He was predeceased by: his parents, James Flax and Delores Barnett Flax Sr.; and his siblings, Barry and Gail. He is survived by: his son Marlo Zimmerman; and his siblings, Richard Flax, Mary Flax of Ansonia, Carolyn Gardner of Ansonia and John Flax of Danbury.
