He is survived by: his siblings, Margeret Dawson, Sally Gee, Hattie Daniels (Herbert), Christine House, Dorthy Thomas and Mickey Sanders; his sons, John Sanders Jr. and Jermaine Butler; and his nieces and nephews, Tarsha Whitfield (Eddie), Shondell Sanders-Cole and Shavone Sanders-Silberberg. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
