He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hanlon and Theresa Hanlon of Trumbull. He is survived by: his wife Valeria Thibodeau Hanlon; his children, Sarah Hanlon and Ky Hanlon; and his siblings, James Hanlon (Patricia) and Janice Marschall (Brian). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to support the Joseph Hanlon Scholarship Fund.
