We are sad to announce that on May 18, 2023, at the age of 70, Karen Smith of Ansonia, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Silas Hersh and Gloria Markette Hersh. She is survived by : her children, Carl Smith Jr. (Liz) of Madison and Erin Discko (Lou) of Ansonia; her grandchildren, Carl Smith III, Sabrina, Abigail and Benjamin Discko; and her brother Nicholas Hersh (Cheryl) of Monroe. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
