He was predeceased by : his parents, Jose Rivera and Otilia Diaz Rivera. He is survived by : his wife Phyllis Baranek Rivera; his sons, Orlando "CJ" Rivera Jr. (Tristin) of Ansonia and Brian J. Rivera (Heather) of Ansonia; his siblings, Jose Rivera of Ansonia and Carmen Rivera (Cliff Stevenson); and his grandchildren, Gabe Rivera, Jacob Rivera, Lincoln Sloan and Lily Rivera. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
