It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter J. Chevarella Jr. (Ansonia, Connecticut), who passed away on November 20, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter J. Chevarella Sr. and Anna Chevarella (Palumbo); and his siblings, Louis Chevarella and Lucy Chevarella. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo (Shumway); his daughters, Jacqueline Kolodziejczak (Derek) of Johnston, RI and Jennifer Sanchez (Michael) of Naugatuck; his stepchildren, Edward Platt (Alicia Buff) of Shelton and Carey Peltz (Jason) of Southington; his brother Carmen Chevarella (Carol) of Ansonia; his grandchildren, Ryan Kolodziejczak, Rachel Kolodziejczak, Marissa McNulty, Breyana McNulty, Nathan Platt, Dylan Powers (Ashley Cummings), Casey Powers and Alivia Stonier; his great grandchild Dominic Lucisano; and his pet Mickey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
