Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ida Maillet of Avon, Connecticut, born in Lynn, Massachusetts, who passed away at the age of 94, on March 22, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, Tilmon Poirier and Agnes Poirier (LeBlanc); her husband Oscar Maillet of Avon; her children, Claude Maillet and Janice Lonabaugh (William); her siblings, Jules Poirier, Raymond Poirier, Paul Poirier, Edgar Poirier and Jeanne Maillet (Alcide); her son-in-law John Ahrens; and her brother-in-law Jack Scheidel.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Maillet (Christina) of Canton and Francine Ahrens of Winsted; her grandchildren, Memere, Benjamin Ahrens, Leonard Maillet, Paul Maillet, Willie Ahrens and Raquel Lonabaugh; her sister Cecile Scheidel of Burlington; and her daughter-in-law Karen Maillet of Simsbury. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
