He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kassel and Margaret Kassel (Willard); and his siblings, Katherine Young, Margaret Bush, Sidney Kassel and John "Tim" Kassel.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Kassel (Stephens); his children, Cynthia (Daniel Melanson) of Crossville, TN, Lois (David Hales) of Avon, Paula (William "Bill" Hattings) of Myrtle Beach, SC and James Kassel (Betsy); and his brothers, George "Bud" (Barbara Kassel) of Largo, FL and Richard (Lois Kassel) of Gurnee, IL. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
