She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick Carroll and Molly Carroll (Risley); her husband Richard P. Pearson, Sr.; and her boyfriend Paul Stender. She is survived by: her brothers, Patrick and George; her children, Sarah R. Pearson of Freeport, Maine, Richard P. Pearson (Robin) of Coventry, CT, William D. Pearson of Wendell, MA and David C. Pearson (Laura) of West Hartford, CT.; her grandchildren, Molly Pearson (Bill), Catherine Pearson (Ben), Ariel Pearson (James), Benjamin Balcom (Samantha), Elizabeth Balcom (DG), Sarah Tillquist (Nicole) and Galadriel; her great grandchildren, Clyde Brittelle, Delphine Brittelle, Leila Cromer, Matty Edwards and Leo Edwards; her extended family, Mary Pat Noonan (Ed) of Middlebury, CT, Emily Reardon (Josh), Mark S. Stender of San Diego, CA and Martha Stender of Colorado; Paul Noonan (Margaret).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Avon Free Public Library, whose staff befriended Mary Ann, welcomed her frequent visits and made certain she was never without a large supply of audio books until the very last weeks of her life.
